Recently, Fortune released the 2023 Global Future 50 list, Suzhou Maxwell Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ‘Maxwell’) made its debut on the list, ranking 17th, as the highest ranked equipment manufacturing company on the list.
This list was established in 2017 by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in collaboration with Fortune magazine. It evaluates over 1,700 publicly listed companies globally based on dimensions such as market potential, strategy, technology, investments, and talent analysis to identify the top 50 companies with the most growth potential in the future.
Fortune noted that the companies on the list all share some key characteristics, including massive R&D spending, high-quality patent portfolios, relatively young and stable leadership, and lean corporate structures. Maxwell adheres to innovation as the core, focuses on R&D investment, continuously strengthens its R&D team, and achieves remarkable results in R&D innovation. In 2022, the Company's R&D expenses amounted to USD 68 million, accounting for 11.78% of its operating income.
Fortune believes that previous Future 50 companies have all exceeded the market average in terms of revenue growth, and it predicts the same for the listed companies in 2023. Fortune forecasts that Maxwell's revenue will increase by over 60% in 2024, securing the first position among the top 50 companies in this edition.
